Unbroken: A World War II Story of Survival, Resilience, and Redemption
by Laura Hillenbrand
Recommended by Kitti McKean,

Loved the book - so much better than the movie. The backstory of his childhood really explained the perseverance that made him an Olympic athlete, and later a survivor as a prisoner of war in a Japanese prisoner of war camp. Its a book both fiction and non-fiction fans can love.

It is an inspiring story about over coming all kinds of challenges. From a difficult upbringing, poverty, to overcoming personal challenges. The Boys in the Boat tells a fantastic tale of a team of rowers in the 1936 Olympics and their struggles to get there and win the gold for team USA.
Icebreaker
by Hannah Grace
Recommended by Alyssa Krob,

Do I know anything about hockey or ice skating? Absolutely not. But did I enjoy this sports romance? Of course I did! Hannah Grace is an amazing storyteller and does a great job at providing sports information without it being too much. All the books in this series are great and I highly recommend them!
