Recommendations for your book club

Every June, the book clubs at the Hilton Head Island library meet, and our members suggest books to read in the upcoming year.

We read a wide variety of books including fiction, nonfiction, classics and young adult novels and the suggestions always run the gamut. I think most of us come away with a very long list of books, even if they don't make it on to our discussion schedule.Read More...

Choose Privacy Week, May 1 - May 7

Someone somewhere is always watching our every move but we can't always find out exactly who is doing the watching nor what they are watching for or why they are watching or what they do with the information gathered during the watching. Librarians maintain that information should go both ways or not go at all. "Choose Privacy Week" is a new initiative that invites people into a national conversation about privacy rights in a digital age.
