In 2012, the City of Savannah partnered with Georgia State University to study the mysterious Cluskey Embankment Stores, four brick vaults built into the Savannah bluff retaining wall near City Hall in 1842.  A team of archaeology students and volunteers has embarked on a study of the vaults’ history using historical research and modern-day radar and LiDar technology, along with old-fashioned digging.  Join the project’s leaders for a discussion of their methods and findings that is sure to be of interest to history buffs and archaeology enthusiasts.
