Lowcountry Joint Land Use Study survey

The Lowcountry Joint Land Use Study (JLUS) is a cooperative planning effort conducted as a joint venture between Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) Beaufort, Marine Corps Recruit Depot (MCRD) Parris Island, Lowcountry Council of Governments (COG), Beaufort County, the City of Beaufort, the Town of Port Royal, the State of South Carolina, and other affected stakeholders. The purpose of the JLUS is to promote responsible land use near both MCAS Beaufort and MCRD Parris Island, to accommodate compatible growth and economic development in the region, to protect public safety and quality of life, and to sustain the missions of the Marine Corps installations in the long-term. The JLUS will evaluate ways to enhance communication and coordination among local and regional stakeholders.

This short survey is designed to help the JLUS steering committees and the project team gain insights into community attitudes regarding MCAS Beaufort and MCRD Parris Island activities.

We appreciate your input and request that you do not complete this survey more than once. While you are always welcome to provide your input on the Lowcountry JLUS to info@lowcountry-jlus.org, we will only receive surveys until 5:00 p.m. on July 31, 2014.
