Free VITA Tax Preparation

The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program prepares tax returns to local working individuals and families in the Lowcountry. All services are free. Sites and times are:
Beaufort Library- Mondays from 1 to 4 pm. and Thursdays from 2 to 7 pm.
Bluffton Library- Mondays from 12 to 7 pm.
Lobeco Library- Saturdays from 11 to 2 pm.
Taxpayers should bring a copy of last year's return, all 2011 informational statements, information on deductions, copies of Social Security Card, bank account number and routing number to deposit your refund, and a valid picture ID.
