Exhibit in BDC Leaves June 27th

Have you ever gone to Charleston via US Highway 17? If so, you've gone slap through the middle of the Combahee Ferry Historic District. Learn about early transportation in SC, the lost settlement of Radnor, and the daring raid of the 2nd USCT and Harriet Tubman to free 700 enslaved people from rice plantations along the river 151 years ago in the Combahee Ferry Historic District exhibit now on display.

The exhibit is a collaboration of Brockington & Associates, SC Department of Transportation, US Department of Transportation Federal Highway Administration, Beaufort County Engineering & Infrastructure, Beaufort County Planning Department and the Beaufort County Library.

Mondays through Fridays 10 am – 5 pm, through June 27th.
