Courtesy of Penn Center, the St Helena Branch Library will host the Bostick Mini Quilt Display from October 1st-31st.  These quilts are examples of the quilts used during the Underground Railroad that provided messages for Harriet Tubman who was traveling in the region to take escaped slaves safely to the North.  Dr.

Discover what it was like to travel on a ship, or on a wagon trail.  Experience history each week through taste, sight, sound, and hands on  activities/games.

It's time to pull out a photo of your, your family, or your friends, and 'age' them... to look like they really came out of the mid 1800's, around the time of the Civil War. Learn some cool techniques to add sepia tones, textures such as crumpled paper, sand, and coffee stains to turn your modern day photograph into a historical artifact. Open to 14 students, ages 11-17.
